About the Library

The library project is a community-based initiative that has been adopted and supported by the Kitchener Masjid. Those of us working on the project believe that our community desperately needs a source for learning about and understanding Islam. This is true for Muslims, big and small, as well as for non-Muslims interested in exploring Islam. Until an Islamic library is established we will be dependent on the books selected by public libraries and other non-Muslim resources. It is time we take responsibility for how our own religion is being represented!

Mission

To provide Muslims and non-Muslims with a resource for learning about and understanding Islam, with an emphasis on Muslim children and youth.

How you can Help

There are many ways through which you can support your Islamic Library by

•  suggesting items you feel should be added to the library's collection.
•  volunteering some of your time and effort to help establish the library.
•  attending events run by the library committee.
•  frequently visiting the library once it is established, God willing.
•  Spreading the word about the existence of such a library
•  and of course by donating (remember to state that your donation is for the library)

Your support is instrumental to the success of the library....and the rewards for this support will run until the Day of Judgment, God willing!
